Jeaustin Campos denies official contact regarding Costa Rica coaching role

Jeaustin Campos has addressed rumors regarding his potential appointment as the head coach of the Costa Rica national football team following the departure of Bocha Batista. Despite widespread media speculation, Campos stated that he has not had any official conversations with members of Fedefútbol or the national team management, noting that he has only learned of the interest through the press.

Campos expressed willingness to take on the role, stating that he would have had no issue managing recent matches against Haiti and Nicaragua even without a formal contract, provided a deal could be finalized immediately afterward.

The rumors surrounding Campos have caused friction within Costa Rican football. Following his departure from Real España due to unpaid wages, his name has frequently been linked to various coaching vacancies, including speculative discussions regarding Deportivo Saprissa while Hernán Medford was still in charge.
