Jebediah documentary ‘Are We OK?’ set for October cinema release

The documentary ‘Jebediah: Are We OK?’ is scheduled for a nationwide cinema release this October across Australia and New Zealand. Distributed by Madman Entertainment, the 89-minute film explores the thirty-year history of the Perth-based alternative rock band formed in 1994.

Directed by Arlo Dean Cook and produced by Brooke Tia Silcox, the film utilizes three decades of personal archives and home videos to examine the lives of band members Kevin Mitchell, Chris Daymond, Vanessa Thornton, and Brett Mitchell. The project follows the band's rise from school musicians to achieving double-platinum success with their debut album, ‘Slightly Odway’.

The theatrical release will include a national Q&A tour featuring members of the band and the filmmakers. The documentary was previously selected for the Melbourne International Film Festival 2026 Premiere Fund.
