San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in East Palestine, Ohio, during an undercover police sting operation. York allegedly used the pseudonym ‘Joe’ to contact a prostitution advertisement multiple times before arriving at a mobile home community in a rental vehicle.

York was initially charged with engaging in prostitution, but prosecutors later amended the charge to misdemeanor disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools. He pleaded no contest to both charges. He was sentenced to one day in jail, for which he received credit for time already served, and was ordered to pay $1,150 in fines. Additionally, he forfeited $160 in cash seized during the arrest and was required to complete an online course.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that the league is reviewing the incident under its personal conduct policy to determine if further disciplinary action is necessary. Following the arrest, reports indicated that York was removed from his role as acting chairman of the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.
