Jeddah hosts diverse international and national sporting events

Jeddah is hosting a diverse array of national and international sporting events as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader sports and tourism development.

In electric racing, tickets have been released for the Jeddah E-Prix, which will kick off the 2026–2027 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship on December 18 and 19. The event will feature the debut of the GEN4 car and the new ‘E Prix Unleashed’ format at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit.

In sailing, the 2026 Arab Optimist Sailing Championship is currently underway at the Jeddah Sailing Center, featuring 10 teams from nine Arab nations. Notable highlights include a joint female team from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Egypt, with the UAE team advancing to the finals.

Additionally, the Saudi Deaf Club in Jeddah secured first place in the 2026 Kingdom Athletics Championship for the Deaf held in Taif. To support major upcoming events like the Gulf Cup 27, the General Authority for Roads has highlighted a 73,000 km road network designed to facilitate travel for fans arriving from neighboring Gulf countries and other regions.
