Jeddah Corniche renamed Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Road
The Jeddah Municipality has officially renamed the Jeddah Corniche Road to ‘Prince Khalid Al-Faisal Road’. The stretch of road, which extends from Al-Nakheel Street in the north to Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Road in the south, has been renamed in recognition of the Prince’s national status and his contributions to the development and urban landscape of the Makkah region.
The decision coincides with the upcoming Saudi National Day on September 23. Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, who serves as an advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and is the Governor of the Makkah Region, is recognized not only for his administrative and developmental leadership but also as a prominent poet who has enriched the Saudi literary scene.
Ihsan bin Abbas Bafaqih, the Mayor of Jeddah, referred to the Prince as the ‘engineer of development,’ noting his oversight of major infrastructure projects, waterfront developments, and road and water networks that align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
