Jeddah to host 27th Arabian Gulf Cup in September 2026

Jeddah is set to host the 27th edition of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27) from September 23 to October 6, 2026. Held under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the tournament will feature eight national teams competing in 15 matches. Matches will take place at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City.

The tournament groups are as follows: Group A includes Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Kuwait, while Group B consists of Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen. The event coincides with Saudi National Day, adding regional significance to the competition.

In domestic Saudi Pro League action, Al Hilal faced Al Taawoun in Buraydah, seeking to recover from a recent loss to Neom. Meanwhile, Al Nassr played Al Khaleej in Dammam, resulting in a 1-1 draw after Al Khaleej took an early lead through Omar Mascarell, followed by an equalizer from Al Nassr's Abdullah Al-Hamdan.
