Jeddah to host 27th Arabian Gulf Cup in September 2026

Jeddah is preparing to host the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, scheduled to take place from September 23 to October 6, 2026. The tournament will feature eight national teams competing in 15 matches held at King Abdullah Sports City and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium.

The event is expected to serve as a significant cultural and tourism driver for the city, highlighting historical sites such as Al-Balad and the Jeddah waterfront. The tournament kicks off with a match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, coinciding with the Kingdom's 96th National Day.

For the Saudi national team, the competition represents a critical opportunity to return to championship podiums under the leadership of a new president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation. Local organizers are currently finalizing operational and organizational arrangements to welcome teams, media, and fans.
