Jeddah waterfront tourism and landmarks expand

Jeddah has emerged as a major travel destination along the Red Sea, driven by significant government emphasis on its strategic coastal location. Marine activities have expanded to include windsurfing, kitesurfing, jet skiing, kayaking, and diving among the region's coral reefs.

Key locations include South Obhur Beach, which provides amenities such as outdoor swimming pools and beach games, and Jeddah Creek Beach in the North Obhur region, a popular hub for water sports.

A central feature of the city's coastal identity is the Al-Rahma Mosque, often referred to as the ‘Floating Mosque’. Located on Jeddah’s northern coast, the structure blends Islamic tradition with contemporary design, featuring a prominent dome, slender minarets, and detailed Andalusian geometric tilework within its prayer hall.
