Jedinstvo Bihać Football Academy Launches Senior Team for 2026/27 Season

The Jedinstvo Bihać Football Academy in Bosnia and Herzegovina will field a senior squad for the first time in the 2026/27 season, entering the Kantonalna liga. The move is intended to give academy graduates a pathway to continue playing locally after their junior years, reducing the dropout rate that has affected many players at age eighteen.

Academy coach Šantić said the priority is systematic development rather than immediate results, adding that the team will aim to earn promotion to the Second League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Fellow coach Ahmet Kečalović highlighted that the senior side will help retain talent in Bihać and the Unsko‑Sanski Canton, hoping for community support to sustain the project.

The initiative is seen as a step toward creating a continuous talent pipeline for Bosnian football, allowing young athletes to progress from youth categories to senior competition without leaving their hometown.
