Jedinstvo folklore ensemble to debut in South America

The Split-based folklore ensemble Jedinstvo is embarking on a historic ten-day tour of Brazil, marking its first appearance in South America. After 107 years of representing Croatia at festivals across five continents and 37 countries, the group has been selected as the sole European representative for the premiere edition of the 1st International Folklore Festival of Maceió – Alagoas (FIF Maceió).

The festival is scheduled to take place from July 21 to July 28, 2026, in the city of Maceió. Organizers expect over 100,000 visitors to attend the various festival events. The ensemble will present Croatian traditional culture through dance, music, and traditional costumes to the South American audience.
