Jedlicze: Autopsy confirms cause of death for 3-year-old in preschool accident

Preliminary autopsy results have confirmed that the injuries sustained by a 3-year-old boy in Jedlicze were directly caused by the accident that occurred during a demonstration at a local preschool. The incident took place on October 19 at the Samorządowe Przedszkole in Jedlicze while medical rescue students from the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Krosno were demonstrating first aid procedures.

During the demonstration, a teaching ambulance struck the child, causing severe head injuries. The boy was transported to a clinical hospital in Rzeszów, where he passed away four days later.

The District Prosecutor's Office in Krosno is leading the investigation, which focuses on potential exposure to direct danger of loss of life and unintentional causing of serious bodily harm. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage and awaiting a final written opinion from a medical expert at Collegium Medicum in Krakow. While the driver of the demonstration vehicle and two preschool caregivers were detained for questioning, all tested sober and have been released without charges pending further investigation.
