Jeep India launches Compass Sport diesel-automatic

Jeep India has introduced the Compass Sport diesel-automatic trim, priced at Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant marks the first time the entry-level Sport trim has been equipped with a 9-speed automatic gearbox, making it the most affordable automatic version of the SUV in the Indian market.

The vehicle retains the existing 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, producing 170hp and 350Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that powers the front wheels (2WD). The trim also includes Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) suspension.

Key features include 17-inch silver-finished alloy wheels, LED headlamps, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. An optional accessory package, priced at Rs 29,900, is available which adds ambient lighting, a dashcam, all-weather floor mats, mud flaps, and a Swoosh decal.
