Jeep launches Avenger subcompact SUV in Brazil

Jeep has officially launched the Avenger in Brazil, marking a strategic move into the subcompact B-SUV segment. Positioned below the Renegade, the Avenger is built on the Stellantis CMP modular platform, which is also used for various Peugeot, Citroën, and Fiat models. The vehicle is offered in three versions: Altitude, Longitude, and Limited.

Technologically, the Avenger distinguishes itself with features such as a 10-inch multimedia screen, ADAS Level 2 safety systems in the top trim, and integrated ChatGPT functionality for voice assistance. While the Brazilian models utilize a 1.0 turbo T200 engine with a CVT transmission, the European 4xe variant offers all-wheel-drive capability through a hybrid system combining a petrol engine with a rear electric motor.

In the Brazilian market, the Avenger aims to attract a new generation of drivers, potentially serving as their first Jeep. The launch strategy includes aggressive pricing for initial units, positioning it as a competitive entry-level option against rivals like the Renault Kardian and Fiat Pulse. Meanwhile, the Jeep Renegade continues to maintain a strong presence in the region, recently earning a ‘Best Buy 2026’ award in Brazil for its value proposition.
