Jeep launches Avenger SUV in Argentina

Jeep has launched the Avenger compact SUV in Argentina, marking the brand's first introduction of an electrified vehicle to the Argentine market. The model is being sold through official dealerships, with pre-orders requiring a deposit of 500,000 Argentine pesos. The vehicle is a South American version developed by Stellantis and manufactured at the Porto Real plant in Brazil.

The Argentine lineup will include Altitude, Longitude, and Limited trims. These models feature a 1.0-liter T200 turbo engine producing 120 CV, paired with a 12-volt mild hybrid system and a seven-speed simulated CVT automatic transmission. The Avenger joins the local portfolio alongside the Renegade, Compass, and Commander.

Globally, the Avenger has seen significant traction, accumulating over 290,000 orders, with approximately 60% being electrified versions. Recent updates to the model include new bumper designs, illuminated grille options, Matrix LED headlights, and a 360-degree front camera. The range continues to expand to include various powertrain options, ranging from fully electric to manual gasoline versions.
