Jeep Recon electric SUV enters production with 670 horsepower

The 2026 Jeep Recon, an all-electric two-row SUV, has entered production following several delays since its initial announcement in 2022. Built on the STLA Large platform, the Recon Moab trim features a dual-motor setup producing 670 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque.

Designed with off-road capabilities in mind, the vehicle includes an electronic locking differential, an armored underbody, and waterproofing to maintain its Trail Rated status. Despite its high power output and rugged features, early reviews indicate mixed performance, noting that while it offers quick acceleration, it may lack refinement and stability during on-road driving. The base price for the Recon starts at approximately $66,995.
