Jeep to discontinue Wrangler model in Europe

Jeep is discontinuing the Wrangler model in Europe after nearly four decades. Under the Stellantis group's FaSTLAne strategic plan, the brand is being positioned as a global leader, but strict European Union CO2 emission standards and safety regulations have made the internal combustion engine Wrangler unsustainable for the regional fleet balance.

Currently, dealers are only selling remaining stock and are no longer accepting new orders. While the Wrangler will continue to be sold in other markets, such as the United States—where a special 2027 version with various gasoline engine options has been announced—it will be replaced in Europe by the all-electric Jeep Recon. The Recon is expected to feature a 100 kWh battery with an estimated range exceeding 500 km (WLTP).
