Jeep unveils updated Grand Cherokee and new Avenger SUV

Jeep has launched the 2011 Grand Cherokee, priced from $45,000. The model features a redesigned exterior that improves aerodynamics by 8.5 percent, a lower drag coefficient of approximately 0.37, and updated front fascia. Inside, the cabin offers more rear‑leg room, a larger cargo area, dual‑pane sunroof on higher trims, and upgraded soft‑touch materials. Powertrain choices include a new 3.6‑litre Pentastar V6 delivering 210 kW and a refined 5.7‑litre HEMI V8, both paired with modern transmission options.

At the same time Jeep introduced the Avenger for the European market. The compact SUV receives refreshed bumpers, new alloy‑wheel designs and LED‑illuminated seven‑slot grille variants. Interior upgrades comprise softened door panels, padded dash inserts and a next‑generation infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and OTA updates. The Avenger offers several powertrains: a Turbo 100 petrol with manual gearbox, a 110‑hp e‑Hybrid, a 145‑hp 4xe plug‑in hybrid, and a fully electric version rated at 156 hp with up to 400 km WLTP range. To mark Jeep’s 85th anniversary, a special edition adds gold exterior accents, tartan‑inspired interior details and illuminated grille elements. Orders for the Avenger are now open across Europe.
