Jeep unveils Wrangler JL-2A special edition inspired by 1945 Willys CJ-2A

Jeep has unveiled the Wrangler JL-2A, a special edition model part of the ‘Twelve 4 Twelve’ series designed to celebrate the brand's history. The vehicle serves as a tribute to the Willys CJ-2A, the first civilian Jeep model launched in July 1945 following its military origins during World War II.

Based on the Wrangler Rubicon, the JL-2A incorporates several retro-inspired design elements. The two-door version features a ‘Gobi’ beige finish, while the four-door model is available in ‘’41’ olive green, along with other colors such as Bright White, Sting Gray, Ghost, and Joose. To mirror the original 1945 aesthetic, the vehicle includes 17-inch Hoose wheels paired with 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, body-colored fenders, and orange tow hooks.

The interior also features historical nods, including Nappa Heritage Tan and Rich Bison Brown leather on the door panels, center console, and lower dashboard, accented by Desert Orange contrast stitching. This special edition is intended exclusively for the American market.
