JEF United Chiba proceeded with their scheduled J1 League match against FC Machida Zelvia at Fukuda Denshi Arena, despite recent heavy rain damage in Chiba Prefecture. Club President Ryo Shimada described the decision to hold the match as a “painful decision,” noting the club's desire to provide courage and joy through football during a difficult time for the region. The club confirmed that the arena was safe and public transportation had resumed operations.

In the match, FC Machida Zelvia defeated JEF United Chiba 4-0. Machida's goals were scored by Yuta Nakayama, Tete Yeung, Takuma Nishimura, and Hokuto Nakamura. Chiba's goals were provided by Takumi Tsukui, Daniel Hall, and Ellisson.
