Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez seek membership at exclusive Miami country club

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have not yet secured membership at the Indian Creek Country Club in Florida, despite owning three properties on the exclusive Indian Creek Island valued at $234 million. Known as the ‘Billionaire Bunker,’ the island is home to a highly private community, but property ownership does not guarantee club access.

The club, founded in 1929, maintains a rigorous application process controlled by existing members. Applicants require support from seven current members—two sponsors and five letter-writers—followed by reviews from a membership committee and a final vote by a 15-member board.

While the couple attended the club’s annual dock party in February as guests, sources suggest they must continue to socialize and build relationships with the existing membership to gain entry. Some long-standing members reportedly resist new applicants due to concerns over excessive wealth or notoriety.
