Jeff Fenech recovers after successful major heart surgery

Australian boxing icon Jeff Fenech is recovering following successful major heart surgery. The 62-year-old four-time world champion has been hospitalized while battling a virus, during which doctors performed multiple operations to remove blood clots.

Fenech’s daughter, Jessie, confirmed the surgery was a success and noted that he is currently in recovery. This procedure follows a history of heart-related issues and operations in 2019 and 2024.

Fenech remains an influential figure in the sport, currently training boxer Tim Tszyu. Tszyu is scheduled to compete for the WBA middleweight title in Australia later this year.
