Jeff Jarrett defends CMLL performance against social media criticism

Professional wrestler Jeff Jarrett has addressed the online backlash following his match against Blue Panther at the CMLL 93rd Anniversary event. Despite receiving criticism on social media regarding his physical condition at age 59, Jarrett argued that the live audience in Arena México responded positively to the bout.

Speaking on his podcast, ‘My World’, Jarrett compared the criticism to recent polarizing moments in other wrestling promotions. He stated that while he does not seek to compete weekly on programs like AEW’s Dynamite or Collision, he believes his experience, verbal skills, and connection with the crowd allow him to contribute to short-term storylines and help elevate other performers.

Jarrett noted that the match against Blue Panther was a significant milestone, as it marked his first time competing in the Arena México.
