Jefferson County Fair concludes in Rigby, Idaho

The Jefferson County Fair concluded its week in Rigby, Idaho, featuring livestock competitions, community events, and various exhibits including produce, art, and baked goods.

Local 4-H and FFA members participated in the week-long event, which included horse shows and market animal weigh-ins. For many young exhibitors, the conclusion of the fair involved the emotional process of parting with animals they had raised throughout the year. Notably, fifteen-year-old Tenley Walker was named Grand Champion Market Steer for her steer, ‘Big Guns.’

Organizers noted that the fair is growing, leading to the addition of new pens, arenas, an auction block, and expanded tent space to accommodate participants. Agricultural educators emphasized that the program's primary goal is to teach youth responsibility, goal setting, and hard work through animal husbandry.
