Actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan has revealed that director Zack Snyder once envisioned him playing Batman in a 'Flashpoint' project. During an appearance on the 'Happy Sad Confused' podcast, Morgan recalled that the discussions began as early as the 'Watchmen' press tour.

While Morgan eventually appeared in 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' as Thomas Wayne, the larger plan to cast him as an alternate-timeline Batman was never realized. Morgan expressed shock and disappointment that the project did not move forward, noting that Warner Bros. ultimately shifted its cinematic direction away from Snyder’s interconnected universe.

In addition to discussing the missed role, Morgan shared reflections on his career, including a difficult period during a 'Star Trek' production that nearly led him to quit acting.
