Jehovah's Witnesses hold international assembly in Quito

Over 33,000 Jehovah's Witnesses gathered at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium in Quito, Ecuador, for the international assembly themed “Happy Forever.” The three-day event, running from August 7 to August 9, 2026, hosted delegates from 34 different nations across five continents.

The assembly included programming presented in 36 languages and 11 sign languages, supported by 12 giant screens. Key highlights included various speeches, audiovisual presentations, and the baptism of more than 500 new members.

The event is expected to generate approximately $15 million in economic impact for Quito through spending on accommodation, food, transport, and tourism. More than 2,000 hotel rooms have been reserved in Quito and surrounding areas such as Latacunga, Salcedo, and Otavalo. Logistics for the gathering involved over 5,000 volunteers to assist foreign delegates and 700 police officers to ensure security.
