Jeju City Mayor Lee Sang-bong inaugurates term with focus on field-based administration

Lee Sang-bong has officially inaugurated as the 35th Mayor of Jeju City, establishing ‘Citizens First, Livelihood First’ as the core value of his administration. During his inauguration, Mayor Lee emphasized a commitment to practical administration that citizens can feel in their daily lives, promising to lower the barriers of the mayor's office and increase field-based communication.

To implement this vision, Jeju City is launching a series of ‘Visiting Resident Communication Meetings’ starting with Udo-myeon. The initiative aims to cover all 26 towns and neighborhoods within the city to identify local issues, share administrative directions, and gather direct feedback. Mayor Lee stated that the administration's starting point and ultimate goal must always be the citizens, and he intends to move beyond the office to address practical concerns such as transportation, waste management, housing, and local business support.
