Jeju Environmental Campaign to Include Japanese Youth
Kwangdong Pharmaceutical, in collaboration with Jeju Water (Jeju Development Corporation) and Jeju Olle, has announced the recruitment of participants for the 6th session of the ‘Juseumung Doreumung’ global environmental protection campaign. The program, which translates to ‘picking up while running’ in Jeju dialect, focuses on plogging activities along the Jeju Olle trails.
For the first time, the campaign will include Japanese youth, expanding its scope from environmental protection to an international exchange platform between Korean and Japanese young adults. The 3-night, 4-day program will take place in Jeju from November 26 to 29.
Activities include plogging on Jeju Olle trails, ‘sound walking’ in the Gotjawal forest, biodiversity education at migratory bird habitats, and exploring the old downtown area of Seogwipo. The campaign is seeking 30 participants aged 19 to 30 who are interested in environmental conservation and international exchange. Selected participants will have their accommodation, meals, and program costs fully covered, though they must provide their own airfare.
