Jeju Island launches new local tourism experiences and travel discount programs

Tourism initiatives in Jeju are shifting focus toward local experiences and integrated travel services to attract repeat visitors. Seogwipo City and the Jeju Tourism Organization are running the ‘Chon(村)스러운 Chon(村) Play’ promotion through October 31. This program offers up to 30% discounts on four local experience packages, including forest healing in Meochewat Forest, traditional fishing experiences in Harye Village, and village exploration. These programs aim to move tourists away from major landmarks and toward immersive interactions with local residents and nature.

Simultaneously, SK Rent-a-Car has launched the ‘Jeju Drive Pass’ for customers renting vehicles in Jeju. This service integrates various promotional benefits into a single platform, offering up to 50% discounts at approximately 50 affiliated restaurants and cafes, and up to 30% off entrance fees for various tourist attractions and cultural sites. The service is organized into four regions and six themes to assist travelers in planning their itineraries while supporting local businesses.
