Jeju Office of Education discusses implementation of 47 election pledges

The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education held its first comprehensive reporting session to establish concrete implementation plans for Superintendent Ko Ui-suk’s 47 election pledges. The meeting involved department heads from the main office and education support offices to ensure smooth transitions and inter-departmental cooperation.

The 47 tasks are organized into five major areas: responsible education to foster life skills, inclusive education for all, peace and ecological democratic citizenship education, Jeju-style education for the future, and integrity-based administration to support field operations.

Key specific initiatives discussed include the establishment of a customized education support system, the development of learner-led curricula, the operation of safe ‘安心 (Ansim) Taxis’ for student commutes, and the strengthening of Jeju 4.3 peace and human rights education. Other priorities include ecological transition education and the expansion of school-centered support systems.
