Jeju Provincial Office of Education reaches labor agreement

The Jeju Provincial Office of Education has signed a collective agreement with the Jeju School Non-regular Workers Solidarity Conference to improve working conditions for educational support staff. The agreement follows three years of negotiations and 97 sessions of discussions.

Key improvements include expanded recognition of work experience across different job categories, increased leave days for maternity and long-term service, and expanded childcare time for employees with children aged eight or younger. The agreement also addresses job title standardization, increases in customized welfare funds through 2029, and enhanced support for workers on industrial accident leave.
