Jeju renewable energy safety to be enhanced through new partnership

The Korea Electrical Safety Corporation and Jeju Energy Corporation have signed a business agreement to enhance the safety of renewable energy power facilities in Jeju. This partnership comes in response to the rapid expansion of solar and wind power installations in the region.

The collaboration aims to establish an AI-based safety and operation management system for renewable energy facilities. The two organizations will leverage their respective technical expertise and field experience to strengthen safety management capabilities, particularly for transmission and substation facilities that connect renewable energy to the power grid.

Additionally, the agencies plan to explore the field implementation of new technologies to improve electrical safety and will engage in continuous information and technology exchange to support the stable expansion of renewable energy supply.
