Jelena Milosevic presents Bake in Black exhibition in Milan

The Food Genius Academy in Milan is hosting ‘Bake in Black’, a solo exhibition by artist Jelena Milosevic curated by Flavia Vago. The project explores the intersection of contemporary art, ceramics, and gastronomic culture, focusing on the concept of black as both a material and a principle of transformation.

A central component of the exhibition is the ‘Kaolin’ series, which features sixteen ceramic elements that replicate the imprints of real bread. This installation creates a dialogue between the perishable nature of food and the permanence of ceramic, linking consumption with memory. The exhibition also incorporates gastronomic design and live cooking sessions led by chefs and students from the Academy, contrasting the ephemeral sensory experience of food with the lasting nature of art.
