Jelena Njegomir celebrates Student List victory in Serbia

Jelena Njegomir, daughter of the late singer Merima Njegomir, expressed emotional gratitude following the victory of the Student List. Njegomir specifically noted the significance of the song ‘Ruzmarin’, which had been used by the SNS political party during pre-election rallies.

Njegomir stated that the victory ‘returned Ruzmarin’ to her, ensuring her memories of the song—which her mother used to conclude concerts and sing to her children—would not be tarnished. She described the outcome as a triumph of culture over vulgarity and freedom over servitude.
