Jelena Riznić faces media harassment from Informer tabloid

Feminist activist and scientist Jelena Riznić is facing a campaign of targeted attacks and harassment from the tabloid Informer. The media scrutiny follows Riznić’s appearance in a promotional video for students involved in a blockade at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, as well as a viral video in which she responded to an Informer journalist.

Riznić reported receiving threatening emails to her professional address following recent broadcasts. She has contacted her lawyer to address the situation. Supporters, including journalist Jovana Gligorijević, have characterized the campaign as an attempt to discredit Riznić due to her public work and political stance.

The attacks have also involved Nina Šobota, an activist for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), who has publicly questioned Riznić’s scientific work and personal motives. Riznić expressed concern that the current political climate has intensified the targeting of visible public figures.
