Jelenia Góra hosts art picnic to integrate Polish and Czech communities

The Centrum Kultury ‘Zameczek’ in Jelenia Góra, in collaboration with the V ĕtrnik Children and Youth Cultural Center from Liberec, organized an art picnic at the Zameczek park on September 12. Part of the ‘Po drugiej stronie lustra’ project, the event aimed to integrate Polish and Czech communities through various artistic and physical activities.

The program included tai chi sessions, musical performances by the Polish band A. M. A. Trio and the Czech group Hyjé, and theatrical shows. Performances featured the Czech theatre Kordula, which used puppets to tell stories in both Czech and Polish, and the Jelenia Góra MASKA Theatre, which performed ‘Złota rybka’.

Participants from both countries also engaged in creative workshops, making items such as sock puppets, origami, straw figures, musical instruments, and insect houses.
