Jelle Geens pursues historic third consecutive Ironman 70.3 title

Belgian triathlete Jelle Geens is aiming for a historic third consecutive Ironman 70.3 World Championship title in Nice on September 13. If successful, he will become the first man to achieve three successive titles in this category, following his victories in 2024 and 2025.

Geens has adjusted his training regimen due to a recent injury involving a stress reaction in his thigh, which previously forced him to abandon plans to compete in the full Ironman World Championship in Kona. To prepare for the Nice course, he has conducted multiple reconnaissance rides and utilized professional cyclists to improve his descending skills. Despite the interrupted preparation, Geens remains confident in his ability to secure the title.
