Jelly Roll disinvited from Mar-a-Lago fundraiser after Trump jokes

Country music artist Jelly Roll has been disinvited from performing at the Big Blue Bash, an annual fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago benefiting the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Foundation. The decision follows comments made by the singer while guest-hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he made jokes regarding Donald Trump’s weight and the economy.

Kyle S. Reyes, an organizer involved with The Police Tribune, announced the withdrawal of the invitation on X, describing the artist as seeking attention. Country singer Coffey Anderson is expected to take his place at the event.

The backlash against Jelly Roll includes criticism from conservative commentators and political figures. Musician John Rich warned of potential audience loss, while Florida Representative Jimmy Patronis stated the singer was not welcome in the Panhandle. Despite the controversy, Jelly Roll concluded his recent monologue with a call for bipartisan compassion, stating that “human dignity isn’t Republican nor Democrat.”
