Jember resident reports fraud and extortion via dating app

A resident in Jember, East Java, has reported a case of fraud and sexual violence to the Jember Police. The victim, who initially used an application to meet a woman, reportedly encountered a man instead.

Following the encounter, the victim was allegedly threatened with the distribution of intimate videos to their school and university if they did not comply with the perpetrator's demands. The victim sought legal assistance from the Islamic Student Legal Aid Consultation Institute (LKBHMI) Jember branch to prevent further extortion.
