BRI celebrates Indonesian Independence with community events in Garut and Rorotan

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has held a series of community events titled ‘Semarak Merah Putih Kemerdekaan’ to commemorate the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

In Garut, the BRI Regional Office 09 Bandung organized a people's festival at Desa BRILiAN Sukalaksana. The event aimed to strengthen synergy with the Garut Regency Government and promote the local village economy, culture, and MSMEs. Regional CEO Dewi Hestiningrum noted that the initiative serves as a platform for local expression and sustainable economic growth through village tourism.

Additionally, BRI Region 6 held celebrations at Pasar Malaka Rorotan. The event featured a symbolic rice pounding ceremony to represent food security, hard work, and community prosperity, aimed at strengthening ties with local traders and MSME actors.
