Jemimah Rodrigues ruled out of The Hundred with hamstring injury
Indian batter Jemimah Rodrigues has been ruled out of the remainder of The Hundred after sustaining a hamstring injury while playing for Southern Brave. Rodrigues, who joined the franchise for £60,000, had been a key performer, scoring 143 runs in six innings and earning two Player-of-the-Match awards.
Southern Brave has named Australian all-rounder Charli Knott as her replacement for the rest of the competition. Knott enters the squad following a strong T20 season in England, where she scored 404 runs and took 27 wickets.
The injury also raises serious concerns regarding Rodrigues' availability for the upcoming Women's T20 Asia Cup, scheduled to begin on August 28 in Dubai. Rodrigues has approximately three weeks to recover and prove her fitness before India's opening match against Thailand on August 30. If she is unable to play, potential replacements for the Indian squad include Yastika Bhatia or Pratika Rawal.
