Jena Griswold Secures DAGA Endorsement and Promises Gun‑Violence Action in Colorado AG Race

The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) announced its endorsement of Jena Griswold for Colorado attorney general. Griswold, the former Colorado secretary of state and the youngest elected to that office in 2018, highlighted her experience defending voters, combating corporate fraud, and pursuing anti‑corruption work. DAGA praised her record on election security and her willingness to challenge federal actions that they view as harmful to Colorado residents.

During a panel in Aurora, Griswold and U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper pledged to intensify efforts against gun violence. They criticized federal attempts to roll back state gun‑law protections and vowed to hold federal agents accountable for actions that conflict with Colorado law. Griswold said she would prioritize defending the state’s large‑capacity‑magazine ban, support a comprehensive assault‑weapon ban in the legislature, and confront the National Rifle Association and other gun‑lobby groups as attorney general.
