Jena to host German University Karate Championships

The German University Karate Championships (DHM) will take place in Jena on Saturday, October 24. Organized by the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in collaboration with USV Jena and SeiShinKai Jena e. V., the event will be held at the Lobeda-West sports complex.

Athletes from universities across Germany will compete in both Kata (form) and Kumite (sparring) categories. The competition serves as a qualification event for the 2027 European Universities Championships (EUC) Combat Sports, where the top two finishers in each individual weight class will earn spots.

The program begins with Kata competitions in the morning, followed by Kumite matches starting at 11:30 AM. Competitions will include individual and team categories across various skill levels.
