Jeneponto implements odd-even fuel system to combat scarcity

The Jeneponto Regency Government, led by Regent H. Paris Yasir, held a coordination meeting with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) to address the scarcity of fuel (BBM) and 3kg LPG cylinders.

To manage long queues at gas stations and ensure more equitable distribution, authorities have decided to implement an odd-even refueling system based on vehicle license plate numbers and the current date. While initially trialed at three specific stations, the system is set to be mandatory across all gas stations in the Jeneponto Regency to mitigate public unrest and stabilize supply.
