Jengibre Teatro to perform in Manizales International Theater Festival

Jengibre Teatro is bringing its production ‘Duelo de brujos o de cómo un día pierdes la creatividad’ to the 58th edition of the Manizales International Theater Festival in Colombia. Written and directed by founder Ángel Luna, the play marks a significant milestone in the company's tenth anniversary and its international expansion.

The production has previously been featured at the Almagro International Classical Theater Festival in Spain and has held various seasons in Mexico and Medellín, Colombia. The story follows characters Sulán and Beltrán in the fantastic land of Entelequia, who fear they have lost their creativity. The play utilizes audience participation to resolve a duel of ideas, aiming to foster dialogue and active engagement with children.

Luna noted that the company's decade of work has emphasized the importance of listening to young audiences, viewing children's theater as a space for active voices and profound human connection.
