Jenin: Military order issued to seize land in Al-Jabriyat neighborhood

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission has reported that Israeli authorities issued a new urgent military order to seize 741 square meters of land in the Al-Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin. The area is located within Area A.

The order, dated October 5, 2026, targets specific plots within basin 20071 under the pretext of urgent military needs. The seizure covers a narrow strip along a road in the neighborhood. Analysis of the new order shows it partially overlaps with a previous military order from May 2026, which had targeted 7.247 dunams in the same basin, but the new order extends eastward beyond those previous boundaries.

The commission noted that this new order is valid for 60 days and provides only a 24-hour window for landowners to object, a significant reduction from the seven-day period allowed under the previous order. The commission expressed concern that such cumulative military orders aim to expand control over land and movement within Palestinian urban areas.
