Jenkinson's Boardwalk nears century of operation in Point Pleasant Beach
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach is approaching a century of operation following the initial property purchase by Charles Jenkinson in 1926. The Jenkinson’s Pavilion opened in 1928, featuring a candy shop, soda fountain, and swimming pool.
Following the takeover by Pasquale “Pat” Storino in the late 1970s, the site expanded its attractions. Despite a fire that destroyed the original Pavilion in 1989, a new Pavilion opened in 1990, and the Jenkinson’s Aquarium was established in 1991.
The boardwalk will host its annual “Boo at the Boardwalk” event on October 17, 18, 24, and 25. The celebration includes trick-or-treating, live shows, and discounted rides for families.
