Jenni Hermoso Linked to Potential Return to Atletico Madrid

Spanish forward Jenni Hermoso, 36, is being discussed as a possible reinforcement for Atletico Madrid. She is currently contracted with Mexican club Tigres UANL until the end of 2026 and has been granted a special leave to commentate the 2023 Men's World Cup. Atletico's interest is fueled by the proximity of the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil and the player's long‑standing ties to the club, where she previously won a league title and the Pichichi award.

Hermoso, who began her career at Atletico's academy, has also played for Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona, PSG, Pachuca and Tigres, winning multiple domestic titles. In her latest season she recorded 16 goals and two assists in 38 matches. While offers from clubs in the United States, Saudi Arabia and other European leagues exist, no agreement has been reached yet and negotiations remain ongoing.
