Jennie Bradley Lichter Resigns as President of March for Life

Jennie Bradley Lichter announced she will step down as president of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund effective July 31, citing the need to devote more time to her family as a full‑time mother. In her statement she called the role “the highlight of my professional life” and praised the organization’s impact on public opinion and advocacy for unborn children.

Lichter, who took the helm of both the March for Life and its sister lobbying arm in February 2025, previously served as deputy general counsel at The Catholic University of America and as a deputy assistant to the president in the Trump administration. The March for Life, the nation’s largest annual anti‑abortion demonstration, is currently confronting policy challenges such as preserving the Hyde Amendment and responding to the approval of a new generic abortion drug.

The organization’s board has begun a search for a new president to lead the movement forward.
