Jennifer Eckhart, former Fox Business producer, found dead in Florida
Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business associate producer and podcast host, has died at the age of 36. Her body was discovered by her mother at her home in Hobe Sound, Florida, on September 19, 2026. The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has ruled the death a suicide.
Eckhart gained national attention in 2020 when she filed a lawsuit against former Fox News anchor Ed Henry, accusing him of rape and sexual misconduct during their time working together. While Henry denied the allegations and maintained the relationship was consensual, Fox News dismissed him in 2020 following an internal investigation. A federal judge later dismissed claims against Fox News, but Eckhart and Henry eventually reached a settlement in June 2025, ending a five-year legal battle that Eckhart described as “exhausting.”
Following her departure from Fox, Eckhart focused on her “second act,” hosting the podcast “REINVENTED” and founding The Reinvented Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting trauma survivors through animal-assisted therapy.
