Jennifer Garner's New Sky Series 'The Five Star Weekend' Premieres July 25

Sky is launching an eight‑part drama series titled “The Five Star Weekend,” based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel. The show stars Jennifer Garner as Hollis Shaw, a popular food‑blogger and cookbook author whose life unravels after her husband dies in a car accident. To cope with her grief, Shaw invites four women from different stages of her life to a weekend retreat on the exclusive island of Nantucket.

The cast also includes Regina Hall, Chloë Sevigny, D'Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan and Timothy Olyphant, reuniting the latter with Garner after their 2006 co‑appearance. Showrunner Bekah Brunstetter (known for “This Is Us”) oversees the series, which will be available for streaming on Sky and Sky X beginning 25 July, with linear broadcasts on Sky Atlantic on 25‑26 July.

The premise explores themes of loss, friendship, and the façade of a perfect life, set against the backdrop of Nantucket’s coastal scenery, which also serves as a key filming location.
